The Secret Sushi Dan NYC

'Bohemian, the soon-to-open Noho sister of a bar in the Nishiazabu district of Tokyo, is tucked into the back of a building that used to belong to Andy Warhol. To reach the front door, you pass through a hallway dubbed “Basquiat Road” (the artist died in his loft at this address). Once you’ve used your swipe key to get in (only 200 will be distributed), you’re in an apartmentlike, low-ceilinged room containing just 25 plush seats, including a couple of couches and a six-seat yellow pine bar.'

Richard Kern @ Rental Gallery
Richard Kern (born 1954 in North Carolina) is a New York underground filmmaker, writer and photographer. He first came to underground prominence as part of the underground cultural explosion in the East Village of New York City in the 1980s, with erotic and experimental films featuring underground personalities of the time such as Lydia Lunch, David Wojnarowicz, Sonic Youth, Kembra Pfahler, and Henry Rollins in movies like "The Right Side of My Brain" and "Fingered." Like many of the musicians around him, Kern had a deep interest in the aesthetics of extreme sex, violence, and perversion and was one of the leading lights of Nick Zedd's coined Cinema of Transgression.
His new exhibition (June 4 - July 6) @ Rental Gallery will include vintage photos from 1980 - 2009.

It's All Beauty @ The Beauty Bar
I don't know if many of you got drunk while doing your hair in the salon but if not, you will have a chance to do that next Friday in the second New York location of Beauty Bar.L Magazine had a sneak peek at the new Brooklyn Beauty Bar this week and it seems like his sister on 14St. but just clean and new ( wasn't the dirt and cheap perfume that brought us at first to the charming place)

Worth Checking - OC&K
'Now in their third season, Of Cabbages & Kings have traveled down into the dark lush woods to deliver a collection entitled What Is Done In The Dark, which once again showcases their gothic grandeur, medieval sensibilities and outrageous sense of play in spectacular fashion. The design duo that are OC&K - Tane Andrews and Kira Goodey - are both originally from Perth, although this collection debuted at London Alternative Fashion Week just at the end of April. It’s once again a mesmerising collection, the highlight a hooded trench coat which comes complete with a cape… taking care of all your winter fashion needs in one go'
